FAMILY and friends of Mrs Elizabeth Aegerter of Holsworthy gathered at Holsworthy Day Centre last Friday afternoon (June 21) to celebrate her 101st birthday.

Affectionately known as Cush she was born in Glasgow and lived in London and Tanganyika, East Africa, where her husband Bob was involved with the ground nut scheme, before moving to Devon 49 years ago.
