HOLSWORTHY Rotary Club hopes to add to its fundraising for local good causes this Friday (March 18) when at 7.30pm the curtain goes up on its 14th show at HATS theatre.

During the past 13 years Holsworthy Rotary Club members’ annual ‘Charity Extravaganza’ concert has raised more than £30,000 for local good causes.

A mixture of music and comedy, it will feature some new young talent and old favourites.

Among fresh young faces will be saxophonist Ben Parker, outstanding singer and musician George Cooper and vocalist Leighann Johns, who will sing songs from the musicals.

There will be two local choirs on the programme — Bradworthy Academy Choir and the Newton St Petrock Male Voice Choir.

Making a welcome return will be close harmony singers, the King Sisters, aka ‘Ice and a Slice’.

Much of the comedy will come from Rotary members David and Liz Jones, Clifford Vickery and once again Robert Cole and Ray Hockin with their Alf and Bert sketches. Ian Chouffot will be the compere.

Tickets at £8 are available from HBH Woolacotts or on the door.
