It's panto time again in Holsworthy and after four months of rehearsals the curtain goes up next Monday evening on Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society's (HATS) 2014 pantomime, 'Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves', writes Christine Williams.
The magnificent sets and the 130 colourful costumes created by the theatre's wardrobe department are ready and the cast of 30, having been put through their paces by producer Eve Earles, are primed for the opening chorus 'Take a Chance on Me'. All the songs are by the Swedish pop group Abba with the lyrics specially rewritten to suit the plot.
