A MAN from the Post area was greeted by a curious seal while fishing recently.

Neil Barron, who lives in Five Lanes, was mackerel fishing at Carnweather Point near Polzeath recently when he was approached by a very bold, curious — and rather peckish — seal.

The seal swam about the rocks where Neil was perched with his fishing rod and did not seem put off by his presence at all, instead waiting for some tasty fish snacks!

Neil said: “He was partial to a bit of mackerel!”
