With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle having tied the knot on Saturday, there have been claims that there was a raft of celebrations all over the country.
However, while the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011 saw 30 applications to hold royal wedding street parties, his younger brother’s nuptials saw just two requests made.
Cornwall Council said that its streetworks department only received two applications to hold a royal wedding street party.
It also added that its events planning team had received one event notification form for an event that had no road closure requested.
The street parties were held in Bude and St Austell, and the event notification was for a village hall tea party at Carnon Downs.
