BEACH goers at Polzeath can now recycle their crisp packets.
A bin has been placed outside of the seaside village’s marine centre where national firm Walkers will come and collect them afterwards.
Vickie Toland, chairperson of the Polzeath Marine Conservation Group and Centre, said: “At present you can’t recycle crisp packets in normal household recycling, so Walkers and Terracycle have joined together and now you can take crisp packets to a local collection point where they will be collected and melted into plactic pellets which are then turned into park benches, plant pots, watering cans and cool bags.”
