REPORTS of a fire involving an electrical cable at a property in Halwill were attended by firefighters from Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Okehampton last week.
Crews were called to Lane End Cross shortly after 2am on December 29.
Crews discovered there had been a small fire in the ground floor hall involving an incoming electricity cable and the fire was out on their arrival.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus for ventilation. Oxygen therapy was administered to one male and one female from the property and the ambulance service was requested.
Western Power was requested to isolate the electricity to the property.
Crews then fitted a smoke alarm to the property.
