ON A recent fine summer day, a cream tea was held at The Hollies Ivyleaf Hill, to raise money for Sarcoma UK and Stratton Hospital.

The event was well supported. A spokesman said: “We would like to thank all who very generously donated prizes for the draw and the scones and jam and cream, which were provided free of charge, and also the help that we had to make it a great success.”

A total of £1,400 was raised, which will be divided between the League of Friends of Stratton Hospital and Sarcoma UK.
