A CREAM tea event, in aid of the Merlin MS Centre, was held at St Teath on Sunday, September 8, raising more than £1,000.
The weather was ideal — warm and dry, and as usual the village turned out to support the charity with physical and financial contributions.
Raising a total of £1,488 for the Merlin MS Centre, the people of St Teath had an enjoyable afternoon meeting up with local friends and those from far away and long ago.
Lorraine and David Jasper from St Teath, representing the Merlin MS Centre, have expressed thanks to a vast number of people for all their help, including Alan and Yvonne Tew, the owners of Pencarey, for the use of their kitchen, garden and garden railway; the men who set up and packed away the tables, chairs and tents; the stallholders, kitchen and waitress staff, as well as tremendous support from family and friends.
Lorraine and David said: “We thank you, one and all!”
