STAFF from Premier Foods, including 18 colleagues from Ambrosia Creamery at Lifton, will be taking part in the Premier Tour de Yorkshire Challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Participants can cycle 115 miles of the 2014 Tour de France route or trek 25 miles up the Nidder Valley and through the Yorkshire Dales National Park on Friday, September 11.
Cyclists are Dave Carroll, Ann Marie Chater, Dee Kirwan, Adrian Littlejohns, Steve Pretty, Keith Roberts, Pete Sleeman, Tim Styles, Tony Symons, Gary Vernon, Andrew Waite and Emma Wild.
Trekkers are Tim Cowling, Helen Griffin, Janine Harrison, Rachel Matheson, Grahame Wallis and Laura Williams.
Premier Foods' charity partner is Cancer Research UK. Throughout the partnership Premier Foods has committed to raise £250,000.
Since launching the partnership in January, employees and customers have helped raise more than £40,000.
The Lifton team hopes to raise £4,500 by taking part in the challenge, with the company as a whole aiming to raise £35,000.
