IT was crafts galore at the Polyphant Chapel recently, as members of the Polyphant Ladies Club came together to offer a number of handmade gifts, perfect for Christmas.
The Christmas fayre, which was held on Saturday, November 30, was a huge success, making an astounding £1,280.16 to be split between the Methodist Church and Polyphant Ladies Club.
It was a busy day for organisers, with five raffles taking place overall. One organiser, Pat, was delighted with the turnout on the day. She said: “We had five raffles on the go, which of course helped towards the fantastic sum made. We had people come from Launceston, Lewannick and all over!”
As well as plentiful crafts and gifts laid upon the tables for people to browse, there was delicious refreshments including hot drinks, cakes and pasties, which proved very popular.
Pat continued: “It was craft mainly, along with the raffles. We had knitting, homemade Christmas decorations by the Polyphant Ladies Art Group and much more.
“I’d like to thank everybody who came and thank you to all the ladies who contributed to the art and crafts. The Polyphant Ladies Club worked so hard to contribute to the success of the day.”
