FROM its modest beginnings 28 years ago in the youth centre the annual craft fair, organised by the Holsworthy Family Workshop Resource Centre has grown into an impressive celebration of local artistry and craftsmanship, writes Christine Williams.

On Saturday November 9, people came in droves to this year's fair in Holsworthy Memorial Hall to look, to admire and have the opportunity to buy unique Christmas gifts.

In the foyer, the Holsworthy mosaic was again on view and visitors were invited to place a piece on it.

Inside the hall, on 23 stalls, local crafts people and producers displayed a wide variety of quality hand-made goods, from coloured glass to wooden bowls and clocks, and from Christmas cards to herbal medicines.
