A CAMELFORD couple recently raised more than £590 for the Headland Centre at Treliske Hospital when they renewed their wedding vows at Otterham Church.

In place of gifts, Jill and Peter Smith asked friends and family to make a donation to the centre, where Jill had been receiving treatment.

Jill said: "The Headland not only gives chemotherapy treatments, but also stem cell harvests, plasma exchange, bone marrow and blood transfusions amongst its roles.

"The staff are wonderful and so caring they all do a marvellous job."
