CAUSLEY at the Castle brings a packed day of entertainment back to the castle green as part of the annual Charles Causley Festival. From 11am on Saturday, June 14 the castle will host shows and excitement for all ages with Pirate FM playing tunes and running give-aways. Organiser Anita White said: "Launceston Castle is a great venue with fantastic views and people can bring a picnic or buy food if they wish. "It will be a great day out with various entertainment throughout the day. Entry is free and parking is just £1 for the whole day in all Cornwall Council car parks." Launceston's mayor and mayoress, Dave and Carol?Gordon, will open the event, followed by a show from Wreckers Border Morris Dancers. A small charge will be in place for some activities such as face painting and the bouncy castle but there will be plenty to entertain visitors completely free of charge. The team behind Andrei Burton — one of the UK's most successful mountain bike trials athletes — will put on a stunt show at noon, 1.30pm and 3pm. Organisers are promising live music, stalls and bottles of Causley Ale to keep parents entertained, and pencil artist Mark Cretney will be on hand to do demonstrations and display his work. At 6.30pm Causley at the Castle hands over to Golden Tree Productions for 'GogMagog', a contemporary reworking of the ancient Cornish creation myth legend. The show reveals a timeless story of conflict, survivors and asylum-seeking. Tickets cost £6 and are available from Launceston Tourist Information Centre or via http://www.crbo.co.uk">www.crbo.co.uk To find out more search for 'Causley at the Castle' on Facebook or visit http://www.charlescausleyfestival.co.uk">www.charlescausleyfestival.co.uk
