A TRANSFORMATION is taking place in Launceston Town Hall as LADS (Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society) production team replicate the village hall scenes in their forthcoming production of the much loved and true story Calendar Girls on March 13 to 16.
The story based on the women of Knapely Women's Institute, who bared all to produce a calendar to raise funds for the local hospital. It is a story of the opposition and prejudice they faced, and their eventual triumph. Calendar Girls has also been a much-loved film, as well as a long running West End hit.
