AT THE May 19 meeting of Camelford Town Council, the members were selected to stand on the council's sub committees and outside bodies.

There was some discussion about making every councillor a member of each committee, but it was decided to have core members.

Finance Committee —Cllrs Bob Ireland; David Elliott and Andy Shaw; Amenities Committee — Cllrs Rob Rotchell; Andy Shaw; Sue Elford; Philip Lassells and John Pearce. Employment Committee — Cllrs David Elliott; Eddie McCormick and Brian Lush. Publicity Committee — Cllrs Eddie McCormick; Bob Ireland and Brian Lush. Planning Committee — Cllrs Andy Shaw, Rob Rotchell and Brian Lush. Christmas Lighting — Cllrs Sue Elford; Eddie McCormick and Bob Ireland.

The councillors chosen to serve as representatives for outside bodies are: Camelford Town Forum — Cllr Pearce; Camelford Hall — Cllr Ireland; Chamber of Commerce Local Meetings — Cllr lassens; Police Liaison — Cllr Lush; North Cornwall Help the Aged Mini-Bus — Cllr Lassells; East Cornwall Rural Transportation Partnership — Cllr Elford; Camelford Foyer Centre — Cllrs Rotchell and Elford; Charter 750 and Camelford Association of Residents — Cllr McCormick.
