AT THE March 17 meeting of Camelford Town Council, the town's County Councillor Janey Comber urged everyone to work together to help the smooth transition of the new Cornwall Council.

Addressing the council, she noted that the next elections will be held on June 4, and the current councillors will continue to that date.

Cllr Comber hoped that things would progress properly, and added: "I know there will be hiccups. I know there will be difficulties. I hope that we can all work together. I'm really quite excited about the new Community Networks."

She said it was important to approach it "in the right way," but added that she was pleased to hear at a recent meeting that the town council was so positive.

"I think we need that sort of enthusiasm to bring everybody together and make it work."

She told the council if they had any problems to contact her.
