CONSERVATIVE Cornwall Councillor Phil Parsons has described an announcement by the Environment Agency (EA) that will see Altarnun allocated as one of the 39 flood and coastal defence projects funded by DEFRA?as "good news."

The scheme is described as the Altarnun Stream Channel Improvement Appraisal, Design and Construction and has a £110,000 funding stream.
