FOLLOWING the recent adverse weather conditions experienced across the 'Post' area, causing problems for many, a county councillor has taken it upon himself to help the people of rural Holsworthy with dealing with snow and ice.
Devon County Councillor for Holsworthy Rural, Barry Parsons, reported at the Holsworthy Town Council meeting on January 5, that he had heard of equipment that can be used by residents to cope during snow and ice periods.
A salt spreader can be pulled by a 4x4 or a tractor so anyone could use it. This is especially beneficial for the byroads which are often left untreated during freezing temperatures.
