THERE is less than one month left for people to get behind calls for a fairer rural funding deal for Holsworthy and Torridge residents.
The Government is responsible for the funding formula for local authorities which currently sees urban councils receive around 50 per cent more funding per person than rural councils.
To address this, a petition has been set up, urging for that funding gap to be narrowed to 40 per cent by 2020.
The petition runs until Monday, September 30, with Torridge District Council keen for as many people as possible to add their signature to the campaign.
