CAMELFORD Town Council considered a request to fund a bus service from Churchfield Car Park to the Arthurian Centre in Slaughterbridge one of the Charter celebration events over a weekend in July, at their meeting on March 17.

Mayor of Camelford, Cllr Brian Lush said: "I'm all in favour of doing the Saturday but don't think it will be viable for Sunday."

Cllr Bob Ireland said it would be sufficient on the Saturday (July 4). There would be free admission for anyone who turned up at the centre in costume and there would be no cost for anyone to use the bus.

"There are lots of things to take part in," he added.

Cllr Lush proposed that the council provide the complimentary bus on the Saturday. This was seconded by Cllr Andy Shaw and all councillors voted in favour.
