THE  chairman of Holsworthy Hamlets Parish council has paid tribute to Cllr Des Shadrick, who died recently.

Cllr Shadrick served on Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council for 24 years and started his career on the council.

In paying tribute to Cllr Shadrick, Ken Carroll, council chairman, said: "He's done a lot for Chilsworthy and he's done a lot for the hamlets. He was still our district councillor right up until his actual death. He was still providing money to us even in the final weeks."
