A SEARCH for alternative gypsy and traveller sites in Torridge has begun.

This comes after the news that plans for a possible site at Derriton near Holsworthy had been scrapped (as previously reported in last week's 'Post'). Following Torridge District Council's Community and Resources Committee meeting held on February 14, a decision notice confirmed that investigations into an alternative site would be carried out.
