TINTAGEL Parish Councillor Paul Heath has expressed anger at the manner manner in which negotiations regarding the sale of the village's visitor centre have been handled.

He said that despite having previously requested details regarding the possible sale of the building, the parish council received its first notification detailing its completion at its monthly meeting, held on Wednesday, June 1.

It would appear the public toilets at the centre would be closed as well.

Cllr Heath said: "National Trust made it clear to Cornwall Council from the start that if they purchased the visitor centre one of the first things they would do would be to close the toilet facilities.
