MANY have read or heard of the 'Beast of Bodmin Moor' — now residents of North Cornwall had best beware of the Wildcat of Langore, according to village resident David Hooper.

Travelling home at around 2.15am on Thursday, September 1, David was shocked to see in his headlights, a black creature resembling a large cat, akin to a Puma. The animal, startled, quickly disappeared, but he was in no doubt as to what he had seen.

"It was definitely a big cat," he said, "my tractor headlights light up the road, and I could see it as clear as day. I got the opportunity to take a look at it before it jumped through the hedge, and it was different to anything you'd expect to see around here."
