BUDE Sea Pool was the site of community jollification and celebration in honour of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Residents of Bude, Stratton and wider afield got together in order to celebrate the big day at the community hub of the Bude Sea Pool, where clear blue skies and sunshine accompanied their celebrations.

As well as marking the big day, in scenes not enjoyed since the previous coronation that lives in the memory of a few with the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, the community were able to enjoy a dip in the sea pool which has been part of the community since it opened in 1930.

The event at the sea pool saw a Sunday cream tea take place in addition to live music, fancy dress (for humans and dogs alike).

A spokesperson for the Friends of Bude Sea Pool thanked the volunteers who made it happen and those who attended for a wonderful day.
