As the most romantic day of the year is fast approaching, Cornwall has been named as the second most romantic area in the UK.
And the Duchy tops the charts for the county with the most romantic activities.
Holiday cottage company, Lyme Bay Holidays, have analysed data to find the UK’s most romantic destinations.
Cornwall secured second place based on four different metrics: romantic activities, romantic restaurants, Google searches for proposal ideas and features in wedding hashtags on Instagram.
Whether it’s taking in the views of St Michaels Mount, watching the sunset together in Lands’ End or visiting the fairytale destination of St Nectans Glen, it’s easy to see why Cornwall ranks so high.
The data has also cemented the south coast as a romantic destination in general as Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Kent, and Bristol all feature in the top ten alongside Cornwall.
