OFFICERS from Cornwall Council's public health and protection team, with the full co-operation and agreement of Launceston Town Council, prevented a continental market from trading in Launceston last Friday.
Officers had serious concerns over hygiene issues at the market and the town council found that the operators were not complying with the terms and conditions of their agreement and therefore acted swiftly to close the operation.
