THE Cornish Schools' Olympic torch visited Tintagel Primary School last Thursday, whilst on its whistle stop journey around the county. The torch was specifically commissioned and the plan is that it will visit all 238 Cornish primary schools before the 2012 Olympics in London. It was designed by Year 6 pupils at St Breock Primary School, near Wadebridge, and has been passed from Warbstow Primary School to Tintagel to Otterham to Boscastle before making its way to Port Isaac. Pete Doman, teaching assistant took the torch to Otterham Primary School on the next stage of its journey throughout the length of Cornwall. The Tintagel Key Stage 1 multi-sports winning team and Key Stage 2 badminton squad are going on to represent camelopard schools in the North Cornwall Finals with Miss Louise Pooley, PE Co-ordinator.
