THERE was a large variety of entries in the horse ring at this year’s Launceston Show, held last Thursday, including miniature horse classes, new for 2017.

No strangers to success were the Fuller family, competing in various classes this year. Well known in the horse circuit, Angela Fuller, from Kelly Bray, and her family attended the show this year with a number of horses, including their three-year-old British spotted leopard colt, appaloosa pony ‘Lovaton Moonlight’.

The appaloosa was bred by Mrs Andrea Foster of Daweshouse Corner and impressed the judges with its distinctive patternation and handling.

The Fullers have competed in various shows and events in the past and this experience showed. They previously competed at Royal Cornwall, North Devon and Liskeard Shows. Angela said: “We compete every year and go all over to various different shows — you really get the bug for it!

“So far we have had a first and third in the ‘Mountain and Moorland’ class and a third and fourth in the ‘Ridden in Hand’, which is good!”
