THANKS to Holsworthy Rotary club, North Devon Hospice’s outreach centre in the town The Long House has been able to install a shed.

Holsworthy Rotary donated £1,500 to North Devon Hospice, contributing to putting up a shed at The Long House. The £1,500 comprised a £1,000 grant from central Rotary funds, and £500 raised locally by the club.

Past president Cliff Vickery, whose presidential charity was The Long House, said: “We’re delighted to be able to continue to support The Long House, which is such a great asset to our community.”

Jess Burford-Redgrove, from North Devon Hospice’s fundraising team, said: “We’re really grateful to the Rotary for their continued support over the past year. They have worked hard to raise £1,500, which includes a contribution towards the cost of our new shed at The Long House in Holsworthy.

“This means that we are able to store gardening tools and equipment, such as parasols and spades/trowels, so that we are able to make more of the outdoor space at The Long House. This will mean a lot to our patients and their families who enjoy the outdoor areas at The Long House tremendously.”
