OVER 200 supporters of Cancer Research UK participated and enjoyed an ‘Evening with Johnny Cowling’ at St Paternus Church, North Petherwin on Wednesday, December 7.

The popular comedian hosted carols and gospel music.

During the interval those attending were served a pasty and refreshments while there was also a small auction.

A warm and happy atmosphere was felt by all and added to the joy for the forthcoming festive season.

The event raised £2,800.
