Bude Choral Society organised a concert of seasonal music at Christmas 2008 and invited a local choir of more than twenty young people called the Mini-Minstrels to take part in the programme. The proceeds of this musical event were presented to the representative of the Cornwall Air Ambulance, Arthur Newton by Veronica Jones, the Musical Director of the Mini-Minstrels and John Goacher, Chairman of Bude Choral Society on Wednesday, February 25. Due to the ­popularity of the last concert, plans are already in hand for another Christmas event for local charities in Bude Central Methodist Church on Sunday evening, December 13, 2009 and the Mini-Minstrels have been invited to sing again on that occasion.
