The push for lifelong learning has reached St Teath Primary School thanks to support from Family Learning. The school is playing host to a series of computer workshops for adults that teaches the basic skills of computing and internet use as well as ways to learn computer skills alongside children. The course is being led by Ian Barnes and attended by parents and members of the community of St Teath and Delabole Schools. St Teath headteacher Lee Bacchus said: "It is the first time we have hosted adult learning classes with the intention of also supporting children's learning. The arrangement is straightforward — the class is led by Family Learning using school laptops and equipment. The participants not only develop their own computer skills but also get the occasional chance to work alongside children and find ways to support their learning too. We are grateful to Family Learning for providing this opportunity to further develop links with the community." Workshops take place every Tuesday afternoon between 1.15pm and 3pm.
