CAMELFORD’S Remembrance services at Lanteglos and Davidstow both saw an increase in public attendance and the laying of several new wreaths from organisations and groups wishing to pay their respects to the lost and fallen of both Parishes.
At Lanteglos the retiring parade marshal David Goodman led the procession to the war memorial accompanied by the Camelford Town Band for the service where Mark Baker played the Last Post and Reveille on a bugle not played since World War One.
The new Poppy Appeal organiser Julian Harman said this year had seen a real local community effort in raising awareness of the significance of the appeal and Remembrance services locally, many of which have involved more of the younger generation.
