LAUNCESTON Pre-School, situated on St Thomas Hill, celebrated the opening of its brand new sensory room at its Easter fair.
Many of the local charities and businesses came together to help support the charity run pre-school — Mr Johnston of Howdens joinery, The Ruth Burden Trust, Shelley Vanstone at Tesco, Kristina Locke of Santander, John Vidler of Trethorne Golf Club, Sarah Tinkler from Threads, Launceston Town Council, Launceston Rotary Club, builders Michael Vidler and Matthew Haisman, architect Phil Ellacott and electrican Andy Oak.
There to open it was Cornwall Councillor for Launceston South, Jade Farrington, who said: “It was an honour to open Launceston Pre-school’s new sensory room. It’s a fantastic example of the whole community pulling together to provide a facility, which anyone can use. It will be of huge benefit to the children at the playgroup and it’s wonderful that it’s also open to others to book and make use of. Well done to everyone who contributed and helped make it a reality.”
