RESIDENTS of the Bude Community Network area will be able to learn more about the environment service standards and the Local Devolution Fund at the annual general meeting for the Community Network Panel.
Taking place on Monday, April 11, the Cornwall Council’s Public Space Officer, Donald Martin, will explain the council’s work towards setting maintenance standards on assets such as public spaces and parks.
The new standards aim to provide a consistent and affordable service for public space across Cornwall.
The meeting will also provide details about the discussion of the Local Devolution Fund, and how it can be used to help local councils and organisations take on the running of services and property in the network area, and support local partnership working.
Cllr David Parsons, chair of Bude Community Network Panel, said: “Everyone is welcome to come along and find out more about key local issues, and the work of their Community Network Panel.”
The Bude Community Network Panel meets quarterly to discuss matters that affect the local area, such as anti-social behaviour, economic development, the environment, community planning, regeneration, conservation, community safety, transport and highway issues.
The panel includes the area’s four Cornwall Councillors, and representatives of the 11 parishes in the community network, including Bude-Stratton, Whitstone and Kilkhampton.
The meeting will take place from 7pm in the Conference Room of the Parkhouse Centre.
