THE Launceston branch of the Lions Club has been awarded £600 in grant funding from the Coop Community Fund, by the three Coop branches in Launceston.
Speaking of how the money will be put to use, president of Launceston Lions Christine Rowe said: “This will be used to supply some IT devices to school children in Launceston. This will enable them to become familiar with using such devices as well as enabling them to participate in online learning.
“This is especially important to those who are unable to attend school, either because of illness or having to isolate.”
