CORNWALL Councillor for Launceston Central Alex Folkes has welcomed commitments from Cornwall Council, Elan Homes and South West Water to complete the adoption of Kensey Valley Meadow as soon as possible.
The commitments were given at a community day organised by Liberal Democrat Cllr Folkes on the development last Thursday.
"I have been working with residents of Kensey Valley Meadow for two years to get their estate adopted," said Cllr Folkes. "Many people have been living there for more than five years and feel that the developers and council have been dragging their feet. As a result, they have been getting a poor service.
"Every time a timetable was given it seemed to be broken and so I organised a community day to bring residents together with the developers, council and water company to get answers and commitments.
