THE ‘Railway Commemoration Weekend’, held in Ashwater Parish Hall, was well attended and raised funds for the Ashwater Parish Hall ‘Extension Fund’.

The event ran from Friday, March 31, to Sunday, April 2, with an exhibition of photographs, postcards and memorabilia.
On Friday, there was wine and cheese, on Saturday cream teas were served and on the Sunday there was a jazz lunch.
