OTTERHAM & St Juliot Village Hall was the venue for 'An Evening with Johnny Cowling' on Wednesday, July 15.

The evening started with great amusement when Johnny asked a local person and a photographer to open a door and film his 'grand entrance'.

He then quickly ran around to another entrance leaving them there, camera at the ready, waiting while he came through the door — much to the delight of the audience.

The evening was to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.

Pasties were supplied by the local shop and post office at Marshgate and the bar from the Horseshoe Inn, Tresparrett.

There was also an excellent raffle with many prizes donated. First ticket drawn was won by Carol Parsons who chose a fruit hamper.

The event was organised by Pam Langley and Manda Mason with Dave Langley on the door and Derek Mason doing the raffle.

Pam extended her thanks to all who came and supported the event and to those who donated raffle prizes.

She would also like to thank the weekly dance club who meet on a Wednesday and gave up their evening to allow this event to go ahead.

The evening raised £520 for CHSW.
