PEOPLE can find out more about new GP out of hours services and community safety in Bude at the community network panel meeting on Monday, November 30.
The panel meets quarterly to discuss matters affecting the area and the priorities to be delivered by Cornwall Council and partners such as the police and health services.
Other areas the community networks focus on include anti-social behaviour, economic development, the environment, community planning, regeneration, conservation, community safety, transport and highway issues.
At the meeting Lisa Vango, from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, will give a presentation on the police 101 non-emergency call system and all planned improvements. Then, PC Stephen South will provide an update and discussion on local policing.
Kate Lock, general manager of the NHS out of hours service, will brief the panel on the new GP out of hours service — with an opportunity to hear feedback of the public’s experience with it.
Bude Community Network Panel includes all four Cornwall Councillors for the area and representatives of the eleven parishes in the network: Bude-Stratton, Jacobstow, Kilkhampton, Launcells, Marhamchurch, Morwenstow, North Tamerton, Poundstock, St Gennys, Week St Mary and Whitstone.
The meeting takes place from 7pm to 9pm in the Conference Room, at the Parkhouse Centre, Ergue-Gaberic Way, Bude.
The agenda and more information about the panel are available on www.cornwall.gov.uk/budecna or contact Chris Sims, Bude community link officer, on 07973 497332.
