TWO staff members at Sir James Smith's Community School have been planning and undertaking athletic challenges in aid of charity recently. Science technician MikeSherry has already completed a sponsored cycle in aid of Cancer Research UK, while science teacher Ed Kirk has yet to tackle the Jersey Marathon to boost the coffers of local organisation, the 'Waveproject'. Mike was one of four cyclists on a 100-mile ride this summer — which encountered drenching rain and searing sun.
