THREE students from Sir James Smith's Community School, Camelford, who recently attended a medical mentoring day at Bodmin College have called their experience 'interesting'.

The event, also attended by Year 10 and 11 students from Bodmin College itself and the Fowey River Academy, was aimed at those students wishing to take up a career within the health professions.

During the day Dr Martin Dixon, the vice-principal of the college and a teacher of biology, gave a practical dissection in a science laboratory, after which the young people participating were able to dissect a pig's lung, animal's kidneys and more.
