The Cornwall Music Education Hub, the local partnership of music organisations and schools led by Cornwall Learning, celebrated the musical talent of young people from across the county with a two-night musical showcase at the Hall for Cornwall earlier this month.
Students and young people from schools, colleges, and local ensembles stretching from Penzance to Saltash were invited to perform at the event, including Launceston College.
Each of the two nights had a different programme of soloists, bands, ensembles and choirs in order to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to perform.
On the Thursday night, the audience was greeted on Lemon Quay with a performance by the Launceston College Samba Band, led by Susan Phipps.
During both days, performers and passing shoppers took part in free Taiko Drumming workshops, led by Vicky Rowledge, of Tywardreath School.
The event was compered by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Associates and musicians, Patrick Bailey and Matt Harrison.
