A?COFFEE?morning in Lifton to raise funds for Lifton Church Children’s Society proved to be a great success, raising £124 overall.

Gill Whitford, a co-ordinator for the Children’s Society, organised the event, which took place on Saturday, April 23, in Lifton Church Hall.

Gill said: “It went very well, we had around 20 people come along to join in with all the puzzles. It’s something for people to do and they all like to have a natter.”

Gill and her team have been fundraising for the charity for around eight years, with box collections and events.

She added: “We’ve been fundraising for several years now, and the money mounts up.”
