A COFFEE morning held at Bodmin Street Methodist Schoolroom in Holsworthy raised £688 including donations for The Brain Tumour Charity. This charity funds research into brain tumours, raises awareness and provides support and information for those affected. The well-supported event was organised by family and friends of Nigel Balsdon, of Bradworthy, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and following surgery is now on chemotherapy. Nigel and his wife Anita expressed thanks to everybody for their support, and Anita's grandmother, Doreen Buckingham, the main organiser of the coffee morning, thanked her helpers and all who attended. She reported that the money was still flowing in. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post
