THE Lions Club of Launceston celebrated their 43rd Charter Anniversary with a lunch at the White Hart Hotel.
This was attended by Lions from across the South West.
Lions Clubs International was represented by immediate past district governor Lion Fred Broom from Crewkerne.
Following the Charter Anniversary, Launceston Club formally twinned with the Lions Club of Windmill Hill, Launceston, Tasmania. This will enable the two clubs to continue with the friendship already established as well as looking at projects that they can work on together. It is hoped they can encourage local schools to exchange ideas and correspondence with each other, enabling the children to learn about each other’s countries.
