THE autumn term 2011 is drawing to a close with all junior and adult squads breaking for Christmas.
The autumn term has seen a record number of junior and adult tennis players participating in tennis coaching and the fun and progress is simply great.
Launceston Tennis Club has reached dizzy heights with participation in both the men's and ladies' Cornish premier leagues all set for 2012 and with the ladies finishing runners-up to Truro in the ladies premier for the summer in 2011 they know hope to go one better next time round.
The Cornwall Clubs Winter League tennis is currently in full swing and the club are also fielding extra teams for the winter league which is an indication of the strength and depth that Launceston tennis now has.
As head coach I visit St Joseph's School and there participation in tennis is also fantastic and I hope more players will choose to get involved in club tennis as well as school tennis.
