Dear Editor,

As one of the losing candidates in the Ross West ward of the County Council, I would like to congratulate my Conservative opponent on his victory.

I would also like to thank my many well wishers and supporters and the 641 and 955 people who voted for me in the County and Town Council elections. I count myself very lucky to have been able to be a County and Town Councillor for the last eight years and to be able to continue as a Town Councillor for the next four years.

Meanwhile, the work continues to make Ross even better. I am running the next litter pick on Friday, June 5th at 7pm. Meet at Edde Cross House, Edde Cross Street, HR9 7BZ. Grabbers, gloves and rubbish bags will all be provided, plus a cup of tea or coffee when we have finished for the evening. See you there.

Chris Bartrum, West Ward Town Councillor
